Tangled Love #1 - Entice
The Kobo Library has been hitting on me a lot lately. I never used to buy books before... And this book was on discount. Why not a little erotic book, I thought.
I had a little erotica phase when I was a teenager. But it was "soft", especially some Anaïs Nin. So I had no idea what to expect with Tangled Love.
Let's say it's not "soft".
Summary
Laurie is barely 30 years old, and has been married to the same man since she was a teenager. He is her first and only love. Everything was in order, until she caught him with her best friend, Becky. Her world falls apart.
She figures her business trip will help her step back and decide what to do next. But then she meets the hottest guy she's ever seen, and she'll do anything but step back...
Review
I've never read a book this hot. It's downright pornographic, so graphic. But at the same time, there is a narrative, the characters are believable, and you get attached to Laurie. I, at least, could put myself in her shoes: how would I react if my long-time love cheated on me with my best friend and an incredibly attractive man full of desire came after me? I would take advantage of it. Even if it's not easy.
So it was a bit of a guilty pleasure. I had a lot of fun reading this book, fun like rarely, but I knew for a fact that there were deeper and better written books than this. That I could use my time better.
Well, too bad. As entertainment, it is difficult to do better. I warmly recommend it.
